The Tallest Building / Project 0199

2023

Project 0199 is a speculative concept for a 12km tall tower design for the 2023 eVolo Skyscraper competition. The design is the outcome of a fictional conversation between an architect and an ‘architecture machine‘, a term that was introduced in 1969 by Nicholas Negroponte, founder of the MIT Media Lab, to describe a theoretical architect-AI interaction.⁣

The project critically reflects on and plays with the idea of human and AI collaboration in architecture whilst showcasing the fascination, scariness and sometimes absurdity of skyscrapers.
